Lebo outlasted the Chase County Bulldogs Friday to pick up a 46-30 win in district play.
The wolves were first on the board converting two early Chase County turnovers leading 16-0 at the end of the first quarter. Chase County would answer in the second with two touchdown runs by Trint Rogers.
Lebo would a carry a 30-12 lead into halftime thanks to a Devan McEwen touchdown run and pass to Avery Peek. In the third Lebo would extend the lead off a touchdown pass from McEwen to Avery Peek and a drive saving touchdown pass from McEwen to Jerome Ferguson and held a 30-18 going into the third.
Chase County pulled within 12 after two touchdown runs from Rogers for 59 and 50 yards. Lebo was able to run out the clock after a roughing the kicker call on 4th and 25.
McEwen says they were clicking on both sides of the ball.
Lebo had an efficient night on offense with 255 yards plus a 55 yard fumble return. The Lebo defense forced four turnovers despite allowing 406 yards of total offense by Chase County.
With the win the Wolves now improve to 4-2 on the season and 2-1 in district play. Chase County now falls 0-6 on the season and 0-3 in district play.
