An Emporia man accused of rape and other sex crimes waived his right to a preliminary hearing during his appearance in Lyon County District Court Thursday.
Jeremy Lee Massey has a pretrial hearing slated for Nov. 9 in his case. Massey stands accused of single counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and breach of privacy after an incident in early September.
The affidavit is sealed in the case, however, the complaint accuses Massey of having sex with a person who was incapable of giving consent and using a recording device as well.
