The first in a series of Dine United events kicked off Thursday at Do-B’s restaurant.
The event raises money for the United Way of the Flint Hills annual campaign. Do-B’s Owner Darren Bontrager says 10 percent of all sales will be given to the campaign.
Burgers were flying off the grill during the restaurant’s lunch rush. The United Way also is giving away prizes from 5:30 to 7 p.m. to those “dining united.”
This year’s campaign goal is $555,000. Other Dine United events planned this month include:
Oct. 11 – Olpe Chicken House (11 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
Oct. 18 – Pizza Ranch (5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.)
Oct. 25 – Granada Coffee Company (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.)
