President Donald Trump is making a campaign stop in Kansas next week.
Trump will stop in Topeka on Oct 6 — exactly one month before the general election — to stump for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach. The campaign rally begins at 6:30 pm at the Kansas Expocentre.
Kobach is among several candidates vying for governor, with his main competition coming from Democrat Laura Kelly and independent Greg Orman. Separately, Kobach and Trump have enjoyed a warm political relationship over the past few years, with Kobach advising the president on voter registration matters shortly after Trump was elected almost two years ago.
