Lyon County commissioners will have an action session with a pair of special guests Thursday.
Commissioners will get a visit from Kansas Senate Vice President Jeff Longbine and 60th District Representative Mark Schreiber, both of Emporia. The lawmakers will give a formal presentation with an update on legislative matters at 9 am.
In other business, Detention Supervisor Brian Anstey will present a request to replace 10 computers currently controlling the jail’s locking systems. County Engineer Chip Woods will also present a request for commissioners to approve an entrance application from Michael Mahan in the 2200 block of Road 170.
Five executive sessions are also planned, three for non-elected personnel and two for legal matters.
