Disc golfers came out to Hammond Park Saturday in support of Team Schnak and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
Timmerman Elementary hosted the benefit disc golf tournament with the help of Dynamic Discs. Organizer and Timmerman Principal Allyson Lyman says turnout for the second annual event was up just slightly.
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for Type 1 diabetes and its complications through the support of research. Lyman says they’re happy to help any way they can.
Clinics were held for first-time disc golfers and Dynamic Discs player packs were given out to those who came out. Lyman says fundraising totals should be available later this week.
