Burlingame outlasted a strong effort by Chase County to pick up a 72-26 win.
The Bearcats opened the scoring off a seven-yard pass completion from Montana Giffin to Seth Greenwood 8-0 after a successful two-point conversion. Chase County would answer back on the next drive with a 44-yard touchdown completion from Cael Budke to Blaise Holloway. Burlingame would then pull away and never give up the lead thanks to touchdowns from Seth Greenwood, Lucas Masters, Cole Thomas and Trevin Lewis. Burlingame finished the evening with 481 total yards of offense.

Seth Greenwood led Burlingame in rushing with 160 yards and three touchdowns and had 2 pass receptions for touchdowns. The clutch performance of receiver Trevin Lewis helped pull the Bearcats out of several fourth down situations as he led the team in receiving with 126 yards and one touchdown. He credits a good week of practice to their success.
Quarterback Cael Budke led Chase County with 151 yards rushing and a touchdown. He was 4 of 17 passing for 59 yards and one touchdown. Trint Rogers added 2 rushing touchdowns. Chase County ended the game with 245 total yards.
Burlingame now improves to 4-0 on the season and 1-0 in district play. Chase County falls to 0-4 and 0-1 in district play.
