One of five suspects arrested recently on suspicion of drug distribution now has an attorney appointed in his case.
Cole Bowen will be represented by Rand Simmons after a review hearing in Lyon County District Court on Thursday. His preliminary hearing, originally set for Oct. 4, has now been pushed to Oct. 10.
Bowen and Amanda Alvarado are charged with distributing stimulants and other charges as part of an investigation that also focused on methamphetamine and marijuana, including drug activity within 1,000 feet of Emporia Christian School and Sacred Heart School earlier this month. Alvarado’s prelim remains on the Oct. 4 docket.
In addition, Jacob Rodriguez has a preliminary hearing Oct. 3 on charges of drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a communication facility. Luis Guillen and Seana Herron have preliminary hearings Oct. 10 on charges of drug distribution within 1,000 feet of a school and possession of drug paraphernalia.
