The Pittsburgh Pirates walked off with a 7-6 win over the Kansas City Royals Monday night.
The Pirates used a walk and 2 singles with 2 out to slip past the Royals.
The Royals scored 4 runs in the 5th inning to take a 5-3 lead.. Ryan O’Hearn hit a solo home run in the 8th to give the Royals a 6-4 lead. The Pirates tied the game in the bottom of the 8th and won the game in the bottom of the 9th. Alex Gordon and Ryan O’Hearn both drove in 2 runs for the Royals. The Royals and Pirates play again Tuesday night with first pitch set for 6:05. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
