One man stands accused of rape and other sexual assault charges.
Jeremy Lee Massey had his first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Monday. He’s formally charged with single counts of rape, aggravated criminal sodomy and breach of privacy.
The court complaint provided to KVOE News says the alleged incident happened on or around Sept. 1. Massey allegedly had sex with the alleged victim, who was incapable of giving consent at the time. Massey also allegedly either photographed or videotaped the victim without consent.
Massey has a preliminary hearing at 3:30 pm Oct. 4. Rick Meier was appointed as Massey’s legal counsel during Monday’s hearing.
Massey has a separate misdemeanor case also underway in Lyon County District Court. That case has a hearing Oct. 29 at 8:30 am.
