Local librarians are teaming up to help provide young adults with new clothing.
The Emporia High School Library, ESU Libraries and Archives and Emporia Public Library have come together to organize the inaugural denim drive. The drive began Monday and will run through Monday, September 30.
Tiffany Fay, Young Adult Services Librarian at Emporia Public Library, explains how the collaboration came about.
The drive will benefit local high school teenagers and college students. Fay explains specifically what is needed.
Plus sized clothing is needed for both male and female students. If you would like to donate there are a number of donation drops across Emporia including at The Flint Hills Mall, Water’s True Value, Emporia High School, ESU and the Emporia Public Library.
All donations will be delivered to the Spartan Stop at Emporia High School and Corky’s Closet at Emporia State University.
