The Emporia State soccer team played Fort Hays State to a 1-1 tie Friday night.
The Lady Hornets scored first in the 75th minute of play on a goal by Shelby Keyes. Fort Hays tied the match in the 83rd minute of play. Emporia State out shot Fort Hays 12-8 and 6 to 2 on goal. The Lady Hornets are now 3-1-1 and will host Washburn in their home opener Sunday. Kick-off on the Emporia State pitch is set for 2pm.
