The Chicago White Sox out scored the Kansas City Royals 4-2 in 12 innings Wednesday night.
A 2 run home run by Tim Anderson in the top of the 12 carried the White Sox to the win. Adalberto Mondesi drove in both runs for the Royals. Whit Merrifield scored both runs. Manager Ned Yost said the pitching was good enough but could not get the big hits when they needed one.
The Royals begin a 4 game series with the Minnesota Twins Thursday night. Heath Filmyer will be the starting pitcher for the Royals. First pitch is set for 7:15p. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
