(ESU) Emporia State Athletics has announced the 2018 Hall of Honor Class.The class includes six individuals and 1 team.
Megan Davison, Softball 2003-07. She was a 4 time All MIAA selection at 3rd base and was also an All-American.
Keith Hernandez, Baseball 2007-08. The 2008 National player of the year at Catcher.
Dennis Matheson, Cross Country, 1958-60. A 3 time All-American.
Jonel Rossbach, Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field 2004-08. The 2008 national champion in the 5000m, a five-time All-American in track and field and earned two All-American honors in cross country.
Michelle Stueve, Women’s Basketball 2004-08. Stueve was a three-time First-Team All-American and the leading scorer in MIAA history with 2,403 points and ranks fourth in MIAA history with 1,040 rebounds. She is the only Lady Hornet and one of just three MIAA players all-time with 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds in a career.
Edward Washington, Men’s Track & Field 1959-62. He was a multiple time conference champion in the sprints.
And 1968 Mens Cross Country team. The NAIA National Runners-Up, missing a national championship by just four points.
They will all be inducted into the Emporia State Athletic Hall of Honor on Saturday, October 20 as part of Homecoming festivities.
