Two members of the KU football team have earned Big-12 Weekly honors.
Joe Dineen Jr is the defensive player of the week. He led the Jayhawks with 14 total tackles, including eight solo hits. He collected his first-career interception in helping lead the Jayhawks to a road win over Central Michigan.
Pooka Williams Jr. is the newcomer of the week. He finished with 125 yards and two touchdowns on four carries in the Jayhawks’ victory at Central Michigan. He is the first KU freshman to rush for over 100 yards in his debut since 2015.
