Portions of the KVOE listening area, including Emporia and Lyon County, are under a dense fog advisory to start the week.
The advisory affects Lyon, Coffey, Osage and Wabaunsee counties until 9 am. TV-13 meteorologist Jeremy Goodwin says there have already been reports of low visibility in the area.
Whenever you run into fog, make sure to use low-beam headlights and increase the distance between you and the vehicles ahead of you. Also, give yourself extra time to get where you need to go safely.
