18th ranked Mississippi State defeated Kansas State 31-10 Saturday.
Mississippi State rushed for 384 yards and 2 touchdowns and finished with 538 yards of total offense.
The Wildcats were limited to 213 yards on offense, including a 23-yard touchdown strike from quarterback Skylar Thompson to wide receiver Dalton Schoen. Kansas State Coach Bill Snyder said there were some encouraging signs.
Kansas State is now 1-1 for the season and will host Texas San Antonio next Saturday with kick-off at 3pm.
