The Emporia High boys cross country team finished in 8th place out of 12 teams in the Emporia Invitational Saturday.
The boys were led by sophomore Treyson True who finished in 5th place.
True finished with a time of 16:42.7.
Ian Coleman-Hull finished in 17th place.
Caleb Hollenbeck finished 32nd, Dylan Davis 59th, Aiden Bernhardt-Purdy 76th.
The Emporia High girls did not field a full team. Freshman Avery Gutierrez finished in 22nd place.
Taryn West finished in 30th place and Kelsey Boettcher finished in 32nd place.
Manhattan was both the boys and girls team champions.
