The Granada Theatre Alliance Board of Directors is in the process of setting parameters as it begins a search for a new director.
Board Vice President Christian Keisler says those guidelines could be settled by the end of this week.
On Saturday, Keisler told KVOE News the Theatre Alliance would start a nationwide search after current director Bryan Williams unexpectedly resigned on social media earlier in the day.
Williams came to Emporia in 2012, replacing Jessica Buchholz who resigned to spend more time with her family. Before taking the Granada job, Williams was director of operations for Screenland Theatres in Kansas City from 2008-2012. He also served as the Kansas City Brigade’s director of operations from 2006-2007 and the Kansas City T-Bones’ director of marketing and promotions from 2004-2007.
Keisler, who served as board president until switching with Staci Hamman over the weekend, says the Granada is not appointing an interim director at this time. Williams’ last day is Sept. 30.
