The Emporia City Commission will hold an action meeting Wednesday afternoon.
Among the agenda items are an ordinance and rezone request as well as a minor plat request for a property at 302 South Congress. The reason is for a potential infill housing development on a vacant city lot. Commissioners will consider approving both requests.
Commissioners also will consider issuing general obligation bonds not exceeding $270,000 for the purchase of a new ambulance for 2019. Adoption of the 46th edition of the Standard Traffic Ordinances for Kansas Cities will be considered during the meeting along with one executive session.
The meeting will be the first action meeting held in the municipal courtroom since renovations recently wrapped up. The meeting gets underway at 1:30 p.m.
