Prairie Street between 15th and 18th is now closed for most of the day.
Recently, Underground Utilities crews noticed a leak on a 20-inch water main. Crews are repairing that leak Tuesday.
Prairie will be totally closed until mid-afternoon, weather permitting, and then one-lane traffic will be allowed. The city has not said when Prairie Street could fully reopen to traffic.
