Two people were hurt Monday in a crash near the Lyon-Wabaunsee county line.
The crash happened on Kansas Highway 99 near the junction of Kansas Highway 31, about 12 miles north of Admire and seven west of Harveyville, around 2:30 pm. The Kansas Highway Patrol says 62-year-old Marilyn Lambert of Eskridge was northbound on K-99 but blacked out behind the wheel for unlisted reasons. Her car crossed the center line, went into a ditch and hit a cement culvert.
Both Lambert and a passenger, 40-year-old Benjamin Ward of Salina, were taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment. Their conditions have not been released. Both were wearing seatbelts when the crash happened.
