The Cleveland Indians out scored the Kansas City Royals 12-5 Sunday.
Whit Merrfield hit a home run to lead off the first to give the Royals an early 1-0 lead.
Cleveland scored 5 runs in the 4th inning to take a lead they would not give up. Salvador Perez hit a solo home run in the the 4th and Lucas Duda hit a 2 run home run in the 6th but it was not enough. The Royals are off Monday. They begin a 2 game series with Detroit Tuesday night.
