The Sertoma Club is inviting you to Soden’s Grove on Saturday. The reason? A big birthday party.
The Sertoma Club’s miniature train celebrates its 60th year of operation, and a trainload of activities is planned. Club member Terri Summey had details on KVOE’s Talk of Emporia this week.
There will also be several food vendors. The carnival closes down around 7 before music from The Band of Many Colors will close down the evening.
Summey says the goal was to create a carnival-style atmosphere, in keeping with the original plans for the area.
