A traffic adjustment is coming next week for residents in east Emporia.
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad has informed the City of Emporia they will be doing repairs to the railroad crossings on Peyton Street and East Street. The work will require the closure of street crossings beginning Monday and lasting through next Friday, August 31. Official detour routes will be signed accordingly.
Motorists are advised to use caution and find alternate routes around the closures.
