With the new school year underway, USD 253 staff members are hard at work making sure everything is running in tip-top shape.
One specific area of focus for the district is in the IT Department. With close to ten different school buildings across the district, the Tech Department is often rushing about to ensure school networks are running safe and sound.
Tech Department Director Paul Beadles says on average his department answers between 80 and 100 work orders in a day.
Thankfully Beadles adds there is always someone on hand to assist with any technical needs, whether in person or over the phone.
A major component of keeping the district’s computers running smoothly is cyber security which Beadles says is becoming a very exciting area, but not always in a good way, as cyber threats continue to advance. He says thankfully they have several resources to help combat any issues related to cybersecurity.
