The woman who allegedly led a car chase from Emporia to Hartford earlier this month is set for a preliminary hearing this week.
Samantha Danielle Scheve, 23, is slated to be in Lyon County District Court at 2 pm Wednesday. Scheve faces several charges, including flee and elude, after a chase Aug. 4 that actually started when an officer noticed a man with an allegedly active warrant near the Avaste Hotel at 2700 West 18th. The man allegedly then got into Scheve’s SUV and later got out of the vehicle before Scheve was stopped and later arrested outside Hartford.
The man, later identified as 23-year-old Ethan Peterson, has a separate preliminary hearing set for Aug. 29.
