The Kansas City Royals held on for a 3-1 win over the Chicago White Sox Saturday night.
Alex Gordon hit a solo home run in the 6th inning to tie the game at 1 in the 6th inning.
Lucas Duda scored on a Jorge Bonifacio single to give the Royals a 2-1 lead in the 6th. In the 9th Alcides Escobar singled driving in Jorge Bonifacio for an insurance run. The Royals used 6 pitchers, Brad Keller was the winner going 5 innings giving up the 1 run on 7 hits with 5 strike outs. Wily Peralta earned his 8th save. The Royals made a roster move Saturday. They selected Jake Newberry from Omaha and have optioned Jason Adam to Omaha.
