The Emporia State football team held a scrimmage Friday night for boosters.
Coach Garin Higgins saw some encouraging signs.
The Hornets have Saturday off from practice. They will hold a night practice on Monday, the first day of classes at Emporia State. They will also hold a mock game next Thursday.
