After a fun-filled week of activities, Flint Hills Community Health Center wrapped up National Health Center week by showing appreciation to their patients.
Patient appreciation day featured FHCHC staffers handing out roses, holding the door and thanking community members for their support. Health Center Communications Manager Verlin Conkle says this is the best way to end the week because the community is the heart of the center.
The appreciation day capped off five days of events at the Health Center which featured a superhero day, an open house and even a mini county fair. Conkle says the week had a positive effect on patients and staff members alike.
Along with Emporia, both the Eureka and Madison Health Center locations participated in the week of celebration. You can find photos from National Health Center week online at KVOE.com.
