One man has been arrested after a shots fired call in east Emporia on Thursday evening.
Police Capt. Dave DeVries says officers responded to 921 Lakeview with the assumption one person had fired a gun either in the basement or out the back door of the house. The man was in the basement when officers arrived. Officers were able to talk with him and he eventually left the house on his own accord.
Officers obtained a search warrant and later seized a shotgun, ammunition and alcohol. They then arrested 47-year-old Christopher Crump without further incident and booked him in the Lyon County Jail.
Formal charges are pending.
