At Emporia State University’s General Assembly on Thursday, President Allison Garrett focused much of her time on reminding faculty and staff why they are in education — and at ESU.
The roughly 50-minute prelude to the fall semester also featured a discussion by three current students who discussed what brought them to ESU as well as an update on a pending redesign of the university’s website, www.emporia.edu.
Classes begin Monday, and Garrett says she’s optimistic about what official headcount numbers will look like when those are released in September. New students move in to the Towers Complex on Friday, and KVOE will broadcast live from 9 am to noon during move-in activities.
