The MIAA volleyball Coaches preseason poll is out. Emporia State is picked 8th.
Nebraska Kearney is the top pick with 8 first place votes. Missouri Western is 2nd with 2 first place votes. Central Oklahoma is 3rd, Central Missouri is 4th, Washburn 5th with 1 first place vote.
Northwest Missouri State is 6th and Lindenwood 7th.
After Emporia State its Missouri Southern and Pittsburg State tied for 9th. Fort Hays State 11th and Southwest Baptist 12th.
The Lady Hornets have held 20 plus practices, Coach Bing Xu says they have had good practices.
Senior Julia Joseph is encouraged by the early practices.
The Lady Hornets open their season next Friday when they play in the West Texas A&M Invitational.
