The Toronto Blue Jays out scored the Kansas City Royals 6-5 Wednesday night.
Salvador Perez hit a 2 run home run in the first inning. He added a solo home run in the 4th for home runs 20 and 21. He becomes the fifth Royal ever to hit 20 or more home runs in four straight seasons.
He joins John Mayberry, Steve Balboni, Bo Jackson and Mike Sweeney as Royals who hit 20 or more home runs in 4 consecutive seasons.
Ryan O’Hearn added a solo home run in the 9th. It was not enough to over come Curtis Grandersons grand slam in the top of the 4th for Toronto.
The Royals and Blue Jays wrap up their 4 game series Thursday night. Glenn Sparkman will be the starting pitcher for the Royals with first pitch set for 7:15p.
