The Eureka Foundation is in the process of helping victims of the recent EF-3 tornado get back on their feet.
This was the message shared by Eureka Foundation Long Term Recovery Committee member Matt Osborne on KVOE’s Morning Show Tuesday. Osborne says thanks to all the volunteers who aided in cleanup efforts, the rebuilding process can speed up now that case management has begun.
The process aids victims by helping them evaluate every possible loss they have suffered and making a list of their current needs. Osborne says the processes time frame is highly dependant on the victim.
Osborne reports so far the case management efforts have been moving smoothly. He noted the biggest challenge they face is donations for rebuilding efforts.
In terms of donations, Osborne says they do not need more clothing, but building materials are a major necessity. If you would like to make a monetary donation checks can be made out to the Eureka Foundation with tornado in the memo line, and mailed to PO Box 560, Eureka KS, 67045.
