BURLINGTON — Coffey County Sheriff Randy Rogers says an ongoing investigation into attempted vending machine and car wash break-ins has led to a string of arrests.
Rogers says video surveillance and assistance from other law enforcement agencies developed tips that identified one suspect, who is currently unnamed. Rogers says nearly 20 incidents in eight counties have been solved with “multiple” arrests, although further details are currently pending.
Lyon, Chase, Coffey and Greenwood counties had reports of attempted break-ins from late June through last week.
