TOPEKA — A combination of speed and wet roads led to an injury crash involving an Emporia woman Tuesday.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says 48-year-old Cynthia Hadicke was northbound and approaching the Kansas Turnpike’s south Topeka exit when her car hydroplaned shortly before 8:30 am. Hadicke’s car hit a sign post before going into a ditch.
Hadicke was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka for treatment. Her condition has not been released.
Hadicke was the only person in the car. She was wearing her seatbelt at the time of the crash.
