A near sold out Denim and Diamonds gala dazzled ESU’s Webb Hall Friday night.
The most important fundraising event of the year for the Newman Regional Health Foundation saw more than 100 items donated for its silent and live auctions. Foundation Director Mike Perigo says the ninth annual event was the culmination of a lot of hard work.
Each year the foundation designates a hospital department to raise funds for medical equipment and technology. This year’s funds specifically support the cardiopulmonary department.
The grand prize was a $7,500 diamond donated by Kari’s Diamonds and Bridal. ESU professor Marc Fusaro won the diamond.
Guests were also treated to a trio of Elvis impersonators for the evening’s entertainment portrayed by Dr. Tim Harris, Jose Feliciano and Roy Mann with help from Travis Hitt.
