A pair of sentencing hearings are set for Friday morning in Lyon County District Court.
Octavia Ellis, 35, will appear in court at 10 am. Ellis pleaded no contest in June to a count of aggravated child endangerment after she and her husband, William, were originally accused of running a marijuana grow operation out of their house at 1411 Lawrence. Both were arrested May 1, and William Ellis has pleaded no contest to cultivating controlled substances and aggravated child endangerment. His sentencing is Aug. 29.
In an unrelated case, Nathyn Kennedy will be sentenced at 10:30 am. Kennedy was among four people arrested in January for allegedly burglarizing at least one rural Lyon County address. He was convicted by a Lyon County jury last month.
