Former Emporia Senior Center director Lannie Lyman is set to have her first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Tuesday.
Lyman is formally accused of theft of over $100,000 from the Senior Center from early 2016 through September 2017, when she was fired. An outside audit says over $110,000 was taken from the Senior Center from 2014, the year Lyman was hired, to 2017.
In addition to the overall accusation of theft, court affidavits provided to KVOE News say Lyman allegedly wrote bonus checks for more than what the Senior Center board approved and altered Quickbooks records.
The first appearance is officially at 12:45 pm Tuesday in the Lyon County Courthouse.
