Strong thunderstorms affected parts of the KVOE listening area Saturday and again early Sunday.
A line of potent storms triggered a warning for parts of Lyon County, including Emporia, as well as Coffey and Osage counties early Sunday morning. No severe weather was reported but the KVOE studios picked up 0.70 inches of much-needed rainfall in a short period of time.
An isolated cell generated a warning Saturday afternoon for southwest Coffey County, but no severe weather was reported by the National Weather Service.
