Healthier Lyon County is gearing up for its fourth annual Park Crawl on Saturday.
Grant manager Daphne Mertens explained the premise on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 segment this week.
The event is free and open to the public. It will begin at 7 am Saturday on the tennis courts at Peter Pan Park. Numerous groups and businesses will have short demonstrations, including E: 24/7 Fitness, Emporia Recreation Commission, Genesis, Family Martial Arts, Theta Yoga, Gravel City Adventure and Supply and Dynamic Discs. Demonstrations include — but are not limited to — cross fit, a special boot camp, so-called SWAT team fitness and yoga.
This is part of the Recreation Commission’s Super Series, which is mainly known for 5K and other running activities. All ages are welcome. For more information, find Healthier Lyon County on Facebook.
