Emporia Farmers Market is holding its annual Homegrown Celebration on Saturday with ESB Financial.
Homegrown Celebration runs from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Farmers Market parking lot, Seventh and Merchant. Farmers Market manager Jessica Hopkins was on KVOE’s Newsmaker 2 Thursday to preview activities on Saturday.
A now 15-year long partnership, ESB Financial Vice President Karen Sommers says they believe the Farmers Markets adds to the quality of life in Emporia.
ESB Financial will also be hosting watermelon rolling, eating, and seed spitting contests Saturday, registration for contests starts at 8:30 a.m. KVOE’s Rolling Radio Show will also be on the scene as part of the activities.
