The Emporia City Commission will hold an action meeting Wednesday night.
The agenda includes commissioners considering awarding a bid for the CCLIP resurfacing project to APAC-Kansas, Inc. – Shear Division totaling just under $600,000. The project is budgeted at $250,000 out of the multi-year fund for the city’s portion of the construction cost. Commissioners also will consider approval of two water district contracts for Rural Water Districts 1 and 4 which serve Americus and Neosho Rapids respectively.
There is also an appeal being made for a stop sign request at the intersection of Crestview Drive and Twin Lakes Drive in northwest Emporia. The initial request was denied by the Emporia Traffic Safety Committee because it didn’t meet the warrants established by the Uniform Traffic Manual.
An evaluation of City Manager Mark McAnarney will be reviewed with the commission set to consider approval. One executive session is also planned.
Wednesday’s meeting begins at 7 p.m. in Conference Room 1AB at White Auditorium.
