The Chicago White Sox routed the Kansas City Royals 10-1 Sunday in the final game before the All-Star break.
Adalberto Mondesi hit a solo home run in the 8th for the Royals lone run. The Royals take a 27-68 record into the All-Star break. That is the worst record in the Majors.
Salvador Perez has been the starting catcher for the American League. He will be making his 5th straight All-Star game start. He will start in place of Tampa Bay’s Wilson Ramos, who will miss the game due to injury.
The Home Run Derby takes place Monday night.
