The Emporia Energy 18 year old team tuned up for the Midwest Nationals hosting the Team Kansas Taylor and Team Kansas Rea in a round robin tournament.
Sunday they defeated Team Kansas Rea 2-1 and were out scored by Team Kansas Taylor 8-4. The Energy 18s are now 18-11, Coach Troy Chapman says they have improved during the season.
The Energy 18s will open play in the Midwest Nationals on Wednesday.
The Energy 14 year old team finished in 4th place at the South Lakes Summer Slam in Wichita. The Energy 14s finished with a 2-4 record in the tournament.
