The Emporia Energy 18 year old softball team defeated Team Kansas Rea and lost to Team Kansas Rea 2 Saturday.
Energy won the first game 8-4. They scored all 8 runs in the first inning. Kaylee Thomas and Andie Wilson each drove in a run with a double. Brynn Riley drove in a run with a single and Carli Lupkes drove in 2 runs with a single.
Team Kansas won the 2nd game 9-2. Andie Wilson drove in both runs for the Energy with a single. Team Kansas scored 4 runs in the 5th and added 4 runs in the 6th inning.
The Emporia Energy will play two games Sunday. The first game at 8:30 and the 2nd game at 10am at the Trusler Sports Complex.
