The Emporia Senior American Legion baseball team begins zone tournament play Saturday in Chanute.
The Post 5 seniors are the number 1 seed and will play the winner of the Chanute and Pittsburg game. Eric Hertlein will be the starting pitcher for Post 5.
The top 2 teams from the zone tournaments advance to State. Emporia already has a spot in the State tournament since they will be hosting. They will be playing for seeding. The State tournament will be played July 25th thru 29th.
