The first-ever Pro Disc Golf Association Junior World competition continues in Emporia through Saturday, and the public is encouraged to attend the Junior Worlds Jam block party in downtown Friday night.
Main Street Community Outreach Coordinator Jessica Buchholz says Main Street collaborated with Dynamic Discs, the Emporia Granada Theatre and Flint Hills Music
Almost KISS will be performing along with Ryan Manuel and the Getaways, with the concert starting around 7 pm.
Activities will be in the 800 and 900 blocks of Commercial from 5-10 pm. A $5 VIP pass provides access for one adult and two kids under age 12 to the area immediately in front of the Granada stage. Buchholz says people can bring lawn chairs and will also receive a $1 voucher to use at the different vendors on site.
