Moonlight will be guiding riders through the Flint Hills later this month for the Lunar Kanza.
Preparations are underway now for the annual event which will see hundreds of cyclists and runners come out for the annual event. Lunar Kanza Marketing Manager Christy Mohn says there are some new challenges coming with this year’s event.
Back this year are the Lunar Kanza buttons which not only get registrants into the block party but also exclusive deals to nearly two dozen partnering businesses downtown. Dirty Kanza Operations Manager LeLan Dains says the buttons are also available to nonparticipants.
Lunar Kanza and the accompanying block party take place beginning at 8 p.m. July 28 with the block party at Gravel City Adventure & Supply at 11 West 8th.
